Removal
1. A small tubular filter gauze is installed in the top cover of the carburetor.
2. To clean the fuel and prevent clogging or other problems due to restricted fuel supply, this filter must be cleaned and/or replaced at the intervals specified in Specifications in Section 1.
3. To access the filter, remove the air filter or air block, depending on the model, then disconnect and plug the hose from the fuel lift pump or vapor separator to the top cover coupling.
4. Remove the filter with a small screwdriver or by screwing a long thin screw into it (screw a 3mm thread screw approximately 5mm into the filter).
5. If the filter is heavily soiled, or if it is torn, distorted or damaged, replace it. If the filter is suitable for further use, blow it out with compressed air. Then wash it in clean solvent; if gasoline is used, observe fire safety precautions.
Installation
6. When installing the filter, press it into the coupling until it locks into place (see illustration). Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
