Battery — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Note: Before you begin, see. Chapter 3.

Removal

1. The battery is located in the left front corner of the engine compartment.

2. Disconnect the wiring from the negative (ground) terminal by loosening the retaining nut and removing the terminal.

3. Disconnect the wiring from the positive terminal in the same way

4. Loosen the clamp bolt enough to lift the battery off the tray.

Installation

5. Install in reverse order, lubricate the terminals with Vaseline, and always connect the positive wire first and then the negative wire.
