General characteristics
1. System (where is it used) controlled by a control unit installed behind the glove compartment (early models) or behind the main fuse panel (late models).
2. The system is activated by the control unit, which reduces the supply voltage to the headlights.
3. To locate the control unit, open the main fuse panel flap and unclip it from the base and upper mountings (Chapter 3). The block is usually rectangular, made of black plastic and can be identified by the colors of the five wires (see electrical connection diagram).
Removal
4. If the unit needs to be replaced, remove the driver's side lower panel and footwell trim panels (Section 11), then unscrew the four mounting screws and lower the plastic bracket until the control unit comes off.
5. If you did not find the block there, then remove the glove compartment assembly (Section 11). The block will be attached to the back of the panel.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
