General characteristics
1. System (where used) controlled by a control unit installed behind the glove box (early models) or behind the main fuse panel (later models).
2. The system is activated by the control unit, which reduces the headlight supply voltage.
3. To find the control box, open the main fuse panel with flap and unhook it from the base and top fixings (Chapter 3). The block is usually rectangular, made of black plastic and can be identified by the colors of the five wires (see wiring diagram).
Removing
4. If the unit needs to be replaced, remove the driver's side lower panel and footwell trim panels (Section 11), then unscrew the four fixing screws and lower the plastic bracket until the control box separates.
5. If you did not find a block there, then remove the glove box assembly (Section 11). The block will be attached to the back side of the panel.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
