Horn(s) — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

1. On single horn models, the horn is located in front of the radiator. On dual horn models, the horns are located below the washer fluid reservoir, at the left end of the front bumper.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the radiator grille panel as described in Section 11.

4. Disconnect the wiring from the rear of the horn.

5. Unscrew the single nut securing the horn to the bracket (see illustration). Remove the sound signal.

Installation

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

8. Apply the handbrake, then jack up the front of the car and support it on axle stands.

9. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the plastic trim (where is it used) from the front wing/bumper.

10. Remove the bolt securing the horn mounting bracket to the lower washer fluid reservoir bracket (see illustration).



11. Remove the horn and disconnect the wiring.



12. If necessary, remove the horn from the bracket.

Installation

13. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
