Supplement: New Features and Information on Later Models — Introduction (Opel Ascona C)

This Supplement contains information that is additional or new to the material presented in the first twelve Chapters of this Manual.

Most of the information covers changes introduced to models from 1987 onwards, including the introduction of the 2.0-litre engine. Also covered are changes to the engine, cooling, fuel and exhaust systems, and the ignition system for all later models.

The sections in the Appendices are arranged in the same order as the corresponding Chapters in the Manual to which they relate. The specifications are grouped together for convenience, but also follow the accepted order.

It is recommended that before carrying out any process, you familiarise yourself with the information provided in the relevant Section of the Supplement. In this way, any changes concerning the execution of the work or replacement of parts can be noted and taken into account without referring to the main Chapters.
