Removing
Remove the oil pan.
Remove V-belt.
Remove belt pulley.
Remove toothed belt.
Remove rear wall of toothed belt cover.
Using two screwdrivers, press the toothed belt pulley from the crankshaft, remove the key from the crankshaft.
Unscrew the suction pipe of the pump.
Unscrew the oil pump from the cylinder block and remove it from the dowel pins.
Remove the oil pump cover and measure the clearances of the pump gears. The gap of the side surfaces of the teeth should be from 0.1 to 0.2 mm, the distance between the housing and the gears should be from 0.03 to 0.1 mm. Otherwise, replace the oil pump.
Installation
Clean mating surfaces.
Attach the protective tube KM-417 (OPEL) on the crankshaft trunnion so as not to damage the seal lip. Instead, you can also glue the chamfer with a film.
Lightly lubricate the new gasket for better adhesion and apply to the pump housing.
Attach pump and tighten all screws evenly to 6 Nm.
Remove safety tube.
Install the key in the crankshaft. Fit the toothed belt wheel.
Put on toothed belt and tighten, see section 1.3
Install the oil pick-up tube with a new gasket, install two screws with a protective agent, for example, OPEL No. 1510177, and tighten them to 8 Nm.
Install the oil pan.
Install the V-belt pulley, install the screw with protective agent and tighten it to 55 Nm.
Install the toothed belt guard.
Install the V-belt and pull it out.
