Measuring engine oil temperature (Opel Kadett D)

            0

For various adjustment works it is important to know the exact value of the engine oil temperature.

The engine oil temperature should be measured in the oil pan at a distance of 1 cm from the bottom. To do this, the measuring probe is inserted into the oil level indicator tube until it touches the bottom and pulled out 1 cm in the opposite direction.

To prevent air from being sucked in through the oil level indicator tube, the hole should be sealed with rubber.

Note: Oil temperature depends on the current vehicle load. Under extreme loads, oil temperature can rise to 150°C.
