- Lubrication of rubbing parts
- heat dissipation
- Removal of combustion products
Oil consumption is considered normal if, subject to the operating rules and the absence of leakage, it is enough to replace. It is necessary to add oil if its level has reached the mark "topping up" (the amount of oil to be added in this case is a maximum of 0.75 l). You should monitor the gem so that the oil level is about 7 mm below the topmost mark on the dipstick. If the level is exceeded, the oil consumption increases.
Under certain operating conditions, the oil liquefies. Frequent starts of a cold engine, driving with a cold engine are the main causes of oil dilution.
Fuel gets into the oil and washes away the oil film, the oil loses its lubricity, which requires a shorter oil change period and can lead to engine failure.
Oil consumption stabilizes in a new engine only after a run of 7500 km.
