Remove the gear shift lever assembly.
Remove cable ties 3.
Remove the ground wire (arrow) from the grounding distribution block.
Disconnect the harness connector 4 of the magnetic switch of the gearshift lever locking device 5.
Remove lock washer 2 from the gear shift lever console.
Press the contact switch of the gearshift lever locking device 1 away from the gearshift lever console.
Press the contact switch of the gear shift lever locking device 1 into the gear shift lever console.
Note: Observe the installation position.
Secure the gearshift lever locking device contact switch with new lock washers 2.
Connect the harness connector 4 of the magnetic switch of the gearshift lever locking device 5.
Connect the ground wire (arrow) to the grounding distribution block.
Secure the wire harness with a new cable tie 3.
Install the gear shift lever assembly.
Check the safety functions of the gear shift lever.
