2. Remove the boot from the shaft - if necessary, the boot to be replaced can simply be cut off.
3. Check the condition of the hinge, if necessary, replace it (see Section 5).
4. Fit the inner collar of the boot onto the shaft, then put on the new boot so that it locks into the groove of the shaft with its narrow seating edge.
5. Stuff the hinge with the required type of grease, squeeze out the remaining grease into the boot.
6. Place the hinge on the shaft - do not forget to replace the retaining ring and monitor the reliability of its snapping into the receiving groove. Use a plastic mallet if necessary.
7. Pull the anther onto the hinge and release air from under it by prying the outer edge with a screwdriver. The outer edge of the dust boot must engage in the hinge groove.
8. Strictly following the instructions of the clamp manufacturers, secure the boot with new mounting clamps (see resist. illustration) - it must not rotate on the drive shaft.
6.8. One of the possible options for tightening the clamps (4) using Hazet 1847-1 tool (3)
9. Install the drive shaft on the car (see Section 3).
