Torsional vibration damper (right drive shaft) (Opel Corsa C)

1. On some models not equipped with an intermediate shaft, a special damper is installed on the shaft to dampen torsional vibrations of the right drive shaft, which arise due to its rather large length (see accompanying illustration).

2. Remove the inner CV joint boot from the right drive shaft (see Section 6).

3. Cut the damper mounting clamp and remove the damper from the shaft in the direction indicated by the arrow (see illustration 7.1).

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. To determine the installation location of the torsional vibration damper, measure the distance from its outer (mounting) edge to the corresponding groove on the drive shaft - a = 225±5 mm (see illustration 7.1).
