By repositioning the octane corrector connector, the engine can be adapted to the quality of the fuel used. On other engines, this is done automatically by means of detonation control. To reposition the ignition timing, the octane corrector connector, located in the engine compartment near the left shock absorber strut, is repositioned to match the fuel used.
Engine 44 kW/60 hp. it is possible to convert from unleaded fuel AI 95 to unleaded fuel AI 91.
Engine 60 kW/82 hp. can be converted from unleaded fuel AI 95 to fuel AI 98. If it is necessary to convert the engine to unleaded fuel AI 91, it is necessary to install a new plug (supplied as a spare part).
The connector is located in the holder near the right shock absorber strut. The set octane number is visible in front of the locking bracket.
Location of the octane corrector connector

1. To replace, press the connector clamp and remove the plug.
2. Turn the plug 180 degrees, insert it again and lock it. Insert the plug so that the value of the set octane number can be read. The set octane number can be read from the side of the lock.
Changing the factory setting is only advisable if it is not possible to fill the car with fuel specified by the Specifications, for example, when abroad. Do not operate the car on fuel with an octane number lower than the value set on the corrector. In this case, it is necessary to reposition the plug, otherwise the engine may be damaged.
