No tools are required to adjust the manual transmission control actuator, and pliers are required to adjust the automatic transmission control actuator.
To adjust the drive control manual transmission do the following.
1. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining).
2. Make sure the shift lever on the shift mechanism on the gearbox is in the neutral position.
3. Slide the shift cable adjusting clutch latch forward, similarly move the gear selection cable adjusting clutch latch forward, and set the transmission control lever to the neutral position.
4. Return the locks of the adjusting sleeves to their original position, thereby fixing the new position of the lever.
5. Start up the engine and be convinced of accurate inclusion of all transfers. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
To adjust the drive control automatic transmission do the following.
1. Pry up the spring clip..
2.... and remove it.
3. Disconnect the transmission control cable end from the gear range selector lever on the transmission control unit.
4. Move the gear selector lever to the position «D».
5. Move the gearshift control lever to position «D».
6. Install the cable end and retainer in place and check all positions of the gearbox control selector.
7. If, after connecting the cable to the lever of the gearbox control unit, the selector lever is not exactly in the position «D», remove the floor tunnel lining and adjust the position of the lever with the cable adjusting clutch in the same way as you did when adjusting the manual transmission control actuator.
