1. Remove the electric fan of the engine cooling system together with the casing (see Removal and installation of the electric fan of the radiator of the engine cooling system in assembly with the casing).
2. Use a screwdriver to pry up the retainer securing the additional resistance to the electric fan casing…
Note: This is what the additional resistance looks like (view from the back of the casing).
3. …and disconnect the resistor from the casing.
4. Remove the three bolts securing the electric motor to the casing…
5. …and remove the electric motor assembly with the impeller, passing the wiring harness through the hole in the casing.
6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
