Removal and installation the instrument cluster (Opel Astra J)

You will need a 7 mm wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the steering wheel (see Removal and installation the steering wheel).

3. Remove the steering column covers (see Removal and installation steering column covers).

Note: For clarity, the steering column switch module has been removed.

4. Grasp the instrument cluster visor by the rear…



5. …and, overcoming the force of the spring clamps, remove the instrument cluster visor.



6. Remove the two instrument cluster mounting screws…





7. …and, pressing the lock…



8. …remove the instrument cluster from its socket in the instrument panel.



9. Press the wire harness connector retainer lock…



10. …fold back the holder…





11. …disconnect the wiring harness connector from the instrument cluster and remove the cluster.

12. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
