1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels.
2. Loosen wheel nuts.
Attention! Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.
3. Raise and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Completely unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the wheels.
4. Remove the crankcase protection (see Removal and installation of mudguards and engine crankcase protection).
5. Remove engine mudguards (see Removal and installation of mudguards and engine crankcase protection).
6. Pry with a screwdriver..
7.... and remove the four rivets securing the front bumper mudguard to the subframe.
Note. This is how the clips for attaching the front bumper mudguard to the subframe are located.
8. Remove the exhaust pipe (see Downpipe replacement).
9. Turn away a nut of fastening of a finger of the hinge of an external tip of steering draft to a rotary fist, holding a finger by the second key from turning..
10.... and remove your finger from your fist.
11. Remove the front pillows..
12.... and rear suspension mounts of the power unit (see Replacing the suspension bearings of the power unit).
13. Press the latch..
14.... and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the electric power steering connector.
15. In the passenger compartment under the instrument panel, unscrew the coupling bolt securing the intermediate shaft of the steering column to the steering shaft gear.
16. Remove front suspension arms (see Replacing the front suspension arm).
Note. The subframe can be removed together with the front suspension arms by disconnecting their ball joints from the steering knuckles. However, if you remove the subframe for replacement, it is more convenient to remove the levers directly on the car.
17. Turn out four bolts of fastening of the amplifier of a body …
18....and take it off.
Note. This is how the body reinforcement bolts are located.
19. Turn out bolts of fastening of back arms to a stretcher …
20.... and remove both brackets.
21. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a forward bumper to an arm of a stretcher …
22.... and a bracket to the subframe.
23. Remove the bracket. Remove the second bracket in the same way.
24. Remove the front subframe assembly with the steering gear, electric power steering and stabilizer bar by lowering it down and at the same time separating the intermediate shaft of the steering column and the steering gear shaft. Remove the stabilizer bar if necessary (see Replacing parts of the front suspension anti-roll bar), steering gear (see Steering gear replacement) and leverage (see Replacing the front suspension arm), if they were not removed before removing the subframe.
25. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Torque tighten the bolts.
26. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment in a workshop with special equipment.
