You will need: keys "10", "18" (two).

1. Remove the front suspension subframe assembly with the steering gear, stabilizer bar and levers (see Removal and installation the front suspension subframe).

2. While holding the bolts from turning, unscrew the nuts of the two bolts securing the steering gear to the subframe…
Note: Shown is unscrewing the nut of the right mounting bolt, the left one is located symmetrically.

3. …and remove the steering gear.

4. Unscrew the two mounting bolts…

5. …and remove the bracket.

6. Remove the sealing boot.

Note: Inspect the sealing boot. If damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Install the steering gear in the reverse order of removal. When installing the steering gear, make sure that the rack is in the middle (neutral) position, and the position of the steering wheel corresponded to straight-line movement.
8. Check and, if necessary, adjust the front wheel alignment angles (see Checking and adjusting wheel alignment angles) at a service station with special equipment.
