1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts.
Attention! Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.
3. Raise and install the front of the car on the stops, and then, having finally unscrewed the nuts, remove the wheel.
4. Remove mudguards and crankcase protection (see Removal and installation of mudguards and engine crankcase protection).
5. Unscrew the nut securing the pin of the upper hinge of the stabilizer strut to the shock absorber strut bracket, holding the pin with the second wrench from turning..
6.... and remove the pin of the upper hinge of the stabilizer strut from the front suspension strut bracket.
7. Similarly, unscrew the nut that secures the lower hinge pin of the strut to the stabilizer bar, remove the hinge pin from the bar..
8.... and remove the anti-roll bar.
9. To replace the anti-roll bar and its pads, remove the front subframe (see Removing and installing front suspension subframe).
10. Remove two bolts securing the stabilizer bar brackets to the subframe..
11.... and remove the bar assembly with brackets and rubber pads.
Note. Remember the location of the brackets on the stabilizer bar (it is best to measure and write down the distance between the brackets), to reinstall them after replacing the pads.
12. Pry with a screwdriver..
13.... and remove the mounting bracket from the stabilizer bar.
14. Remove the stabilizer bar cushion.
Note. Strongly crimped or damaged pillows, replace the deformed bracket.
15. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Torque tighten bolts and nuts.
Note. After replacing the parts of the anti-roll bar, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
