1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels.
2. Remove the wheel (see Wheel replacement).
3. Remove the brake hose holder from the bracket on the shock absorber strut..
4.... and take him aside.
5. Keeping your finger from turning with the second key..
6.... unscrew the pin nut of the upper hinge of the anti-roll bar.
7. Detach the strut from the shock strut bracket.
8. Remove the hood seal..
9.... and the protective cover of the upper support of the shock absorber strut.
10. Loosen the shock absorber mounting nut, holding the rod from turning with a TORX E50 key, passed through the ring spanner hole.
11. Remove the strut rod nut…
12.... and a thrust washer for mounting the rack.
Note. If you are removing the shock absorber strut for repair, after removing the strut mounting thrust washer, loosen the shock absorber rod nut in the same way as you did when disconnecting the upper strut support (see point 10).
13. Holding the bolts from turning..
14.... unscrew the nuts of the two bolts securing the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle..
15.... remove the bolts from the holes of the rack and knuckle..
16.... and remove the shock absorber.
17. The second rack is removed in the same way.
18. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Note. After replacing the shock absorber strut of the front suspension or its parts, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment (see Checking and adjusting wheel alignment). Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
