Removal and installation front suspension shock absorbers (Opel Kadett E)

Remove the telescopic strut and upper support as described above.

Remove the upper spring cup.

Unscrew the strut housing nut using the KM 331 tool (see photo) and remove the shock absorber from the strut housing.



Insert a new shock absorber into the strut housing, screw on a new strut housing nut and tighten it to a torque of 20.0 kgf·m using the KM 331 device, without removing the layer of preservative compound from the nut, which serves for lubrication and protection against corrosion.

Install the upper spring cup and upper strut support in place.

Install the telescopic stand.
