Replacing the ball joints of the suspension arms (Opel Kadett E)

Removal



Remove the suspension arm.

Using a 12 mm drill, drill out the heads of the three rivets securing the ball joint of the lever and remove the joint.

Installation



Ball joints supplied as spare parts are secured with bolts, not rivets.

Clean the ball joint socket in the steering knuckle and secure the new ball joint with the bolts and self-locking nuts.

Install the suspension arm in place.
