Adjusting the clearance in the front wheel hub bearing (Opel Kadett E)

            0

Tighten the new hub nut with a new washer to a torque of 10 kgf·m, holding the hub from turning.

Note: Never reuse the old hub washer and nut.

Loosen the hub crown nut and re-tighten it to a torque of 20 kgf·m, thereby ensuring a preliminary load on the bearing, then turn the hub nut by 90°.

If the hole for the cotter pin and the slot in the nut do not match, unscrew the nut a little to the nearest slot and lock the hub nut with a cotter pin.
