2. Remove the upper brake light by unscrewing the screws and retracting the latches.
3. Inside the cover, disconnect the wire braid from the ground, tie a wire to the harness and pull the harness out of the cover, removing the rubber seal (see photo).
4. Pry off and remove the washer nozzle from the cover, disconnect the tube from the nozzle and pull it out of the cover, tying a wire to the tube.
5. Remove the spring clips from the cover posts (an assistant should hold the lid), disconnect the racks from the ball joints.
6. Remove the latches, knock out the hinge pins (see photo) and remove the cover.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pull the wires into the cover, tying them to the wire. On a new cover, rearrange all the parts from the removed (buffers, lock, wires, etc.). Lubricate the hinge pins.
8. Adjust the position of the cover so that the gaps with adjacent panels are the same around the entire perimeter of the cover.
9. Adjustment of the position of the cover is ensured by moving it with the hinge bolts released (closed with a decorative overlay) or by adjusting the position of the lock (see photo). Lastly, the position of the lid is adjusted by rotating the rubber buffers, which must rest against the lid when closing.
