Trunk lid — removal and installation (Opel Astra G)

1. On models with a power lid lock, disconnect the battery from ground and disconnect the wires from the actuator. Tie the wires to a wire and pull them out of the lid.

2. Trace the contours of the hinges on the lid, unscrew the bolts and remove the lid together.

3. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Pull the wires into the cover, tying them with a wire. Transfer all the parts from the removed one to the new cover (buffers, lock, wires, etc.). If necessary, adjust the position of the lid by moving it with the hinge bolts loosened, adjusting the height of the rubber buffers or the position of the lock retainer.
