The unlocked trunk opens at the push of a button.
Horizontal position of the slot in the lock: the trunk is locked and unlocked using a central locking device.
If the key is only turned to the horizontal position after the central locking device is unlocked, the trunk remains locked.
Vertical position of the slot in the lock The trunk remains locked even when the central locking device is unlocked. This position should be selected if the trunk is to remain permanently locked. Turn the key, overcoming resistance, all the way to the left.
Unlocking the trunk with centrally locked doors
Turn the key from a vertical or horizontal position through the point of resistance to the right as far as it will go. To prevent locking, the key cannot be removed in this position.
After closing the trunk and turning the key back to the horizontal or vertical position, the trunk is locked again.
When the key is in the horizontal position, the trunk is only unlocked after the next unlocking of the central locking device.
