The unlocked trunk opens at the press of a button.
Horizontal position of the slot in the lock: the trunk is locked and unlocked using the central locking device.
If the key is turned to the horizontal position only after the central locking device has been unlocked, the trunk remains locked.

Vertical position of the slot in the lock The trunk remains locked even when the central locking device is unlocked. This position should be selected if the trunk should remain permanently locked. Turn the key, overcoming resistance, to the stop to the left.
Unlocking the trunk with centrally locked doors

Turn the key from a vertical or horizontal position through the resistance point to the right until it stops. To protect against locking, the key cannot be removed in this position.

After closing the trunk and turning the key back to the horizontal or vertical position, the trunk is locked again.
When the key is in a horizontal position, the trunk will only be unlocked after the central locking device is unlocked again.
