Windshield wipers
1. Remove both wiper arms (see Removal and installation of levers (leashes) wipers).
2. Remove the rubber seal from the upper edge of the bulkhead of the engine compartment and the plastic grille of the reflector mounted under the windshield (see illustrations The layout of the elements to be removed, installed along the lower edge of the windshield (Astra models) and Layout of elements installed along the lower edge of the windshield (Astra models)).
3. Disconnect the hoses from the washer fluid nozzles on the glass.
4. Loosen the mounting nuts where required and remove the reflector from the bulkhead.

5. Disconnect the wiring from the windshield wiper motor.
6. Turn out fixing bolts and the electric motor in gathering with driving drafts.
7. If necessary, the electric motor can be removed from the drive mechanism - disconnect the rod from the hinge and unscrew the motor mounting bolts. The remaining traction, if necessary, can also be dismantled.
8. Clean the drive mechanism components and check the condition of the axles and hinges. Replace defective components.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before assembly, lubricate the moving parts of the drive mechanism with silicone grease. Refer to Wiper Arm Installation Procedure for a description of the installation procedure. Removal and installation of levers (leashes) wipers.
Rear window cleaner (models Hatchback and Wagon / Zafira)
1. Remove the wiper arm (see Removal and installation of levers (leashes) wipers).
2. Remove panels of an internal upholstery of a door of a back (see chapter Body).
3. On Astra models remove the door lock cylinder (see chapter Body).
4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the drive motor.
5. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the motor, having released the case of its axis from a rubber through plug in the external panel of a door frame.
6. If necessary, remove the rubber bushing from the door panel. A damaged bushing must be replaced.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure all fasteners are tightened to the correct torque. For the installation procedure for the wiper arm, refer to Removal and installation of levers (leashes) wipers.
