Before performing any service on the air bag module, turn off the SRS to avoid injury from accidental deployment (see Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) - General Information). The SRS circuit wiring is easily identified by the yellow color of the insulation.
1. Remove the driver's airbag module (see Removal and installation SRS components).
2. Disconnect the two electrical wiring connectors.
3. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the two audio system remote control switches from the steering column.
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
