Removal and installation the radio antenna (Opel Astra G)

1. On hatchback models open the tailgate and remove the rubber seal from the roof panel. Remove the rear side trim panels (see Chapter Body). Release the plastic clips and remove the grab handles from the ceiling. The ceiling trim is glued to the body panel with Velcro - carefully remove the rear section of the trim.

2. On sedan models remove all ceiling trim.

3. On zafira and Station Wagon models open the tailgate and pull off the rubber seal near the rear headliner panel. Remove the rear interior light (see Replacement of interior lighting fixtures), using a wide-blade screwdriver to pry up the fasteners, remove the ceiling trim from the body panel.

4. Disconnect the cable from the antenna. If so equipped, also disconnect the GPS navigation system cable (Global Position System - global positioning navigation system), telephone cable and power supply wire.

5. Loosen the mounting nut and remove the antenna from the roof.

6. If the radio antenna cable is removed, the center console and side trim panels must also be removed (see Chapter Body).

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the fastening nut is tightened with the required force.
