Installing the antenna (Opel Kadett D)

The rod antenna is mounted on the right wing and is attached to the side wall using a holder.

Installation

Drill a hole for the antenna according to the data in the drawing. Clean the antenna support surface on the underside of the wing down to bare metal.



Remove the right front side trim.

Drill a 5.2mm diameter hole for the antenna holder.

Drill a 15mm diameter hole for the antenna cable.

The inner surface of the wing around the antenna holder (circle with a diameter of approximately 15 mm) clean to bare metal. Protect bare wing metal from corrosion.



Bend the antenna holder according to the drawing.





Install the antenna.

Pull the antenna cable with the plastic sleeve through the side wall and seal it.

Route the antenna cable to the radio. Route the cable over the right upper holder of the device (the picture shows that the glove box is removed).



Install the side trim.
