Removal and installation rear seats (Opel Astra G)

Seat cushion

1. If the seat is split, press the spring-loaded buttons at the front of the seat and release the seat from the pivot brackets.



2. Remove the buttons (1) and springs (2).



3. Lift the seat cushion off the floor and remove it from the vehicle.

4. If the seats are not split, first lift the rear of the seat, then unhook the front hinges from the hooks by pushing the seat down over the hooks. Remove the cushion from the floor and take it out of the car.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - make sure that the belt fasteners pass over the top of the seat.

Seat back (astra models)

Removal

1. Remove the seat cushion (see above).

2. Tilt the backrest forward, remove the plastic plugs and fold back the felt flaps from the corners of the backrest.



3. Use a TORX key to unscrew the bolts securing the backrest to the hinges and release the hinges from the body grooves. If necessary, compress the springs with a screwdriver.



4. Remove the bolts securing the central hinges, including the bolt that holds the hinges together.



5. Raise the front of the backrest and remove the bolts securing the front hinge bracket and seat belt anchors.



6. Lift the backrest and remove it from the vehicle.

7. To remove the armrest, carefully separate each side from the body.

Installation

1. When installing the backrest, it is wise to first assemble the separate sections and the outer hinge brackets outside the car. First, install the brackets on the outer lower corners of the backrests and tighten the bolts.



2. Assemble the backrests together, screw in the bolts and tighten them securely.

3. With the help of an assistant, move the seat into the car, placing the outer hinge pins over the grooves in the floor panel, and press on the edges of the seat backs so that the spring-loaded latches enter the grooves.

4. Install the center bracket and seat belt anchor mounting bolts and tighten them securely.

5. Secure the felt pads with plastic plugs.

6. Install the seat cushion (see above).

Seat back (zafira models)

Removal the rear seat on Zafira models



1. Remove the floor covering in the luggage compartment.

2. Remove the mounting screws and remove the seat belt anchor bracket from the floor.

3. Remove the screws from the center hinge bracket.

4. Unhook the rear latch (4) (see illustration Removal the rear seat on Zafira models), remove the backrest and take it out of the passenger compartment.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
