Removal and installation the clutch pedal (Opel Vectra C)

1. The clutch pedal is secured in a support bracket installed in the front wall of the passenger compartment under the instrument panel. It is removed together with the bracket. This operation is very labor-intensive, since in order to gain access to the bracket fasteners, it is necessary to dismantle the instrument panel, having previously removed the equipment installed on it. If necessary, it is recommended to entrust this operation to service station specialists.

2. Unscrew 2 bolts (see accompanying illustration) brake booster mounts.



3. Remove the instrument panel.

4. Remove the steering shaft housing assembly and its mounting bracket.

5. Remove the brake light switch and unlock the clutch master cylinder rod using special tools (see Section 2).

6. Remove the locking clip (see accompanying illustration), disconnect the return spring and unscrew the brake booster cylinder rod mounting bolt.





7. Loosen the 3 nuts securing the clutch pedal bracket and carefully remove it, remove the clutch cylinder rod retainer from the pedal.

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
