1. Disconnect the clutch cable from the pedal as described in Chapter 3.
2. From inside the vehicle, disconnect the electrical wiring from the brake light switch, disconnect the brake pedal return spring, disconnect the servo pushrod from the brake pedal.
3. Loosen the nut on the end of the pedal arm. Disconnect the clutch pedal return spring.
4. Remove the nuts securing the pedal suspension to the bulkhead, rotate the suspension around the steering column so that the pedal arm can be removed. Note that on later models it may be necessary to remove the steering column to move the pedal suspension away from the mounting posts. The column can be removed as described in Section 10, Chapter 22, noting that it is not necessary to remove the steering wheel or lock cylinder; the column can be removed along with these elements.
5. Remove the pedal location brackets, then unscrew the nut, remove the washer and remove the shaft until the clutch pedal is removed from the suspension. Remove the pedal thrust washers.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, lubricate the shaft. Adjust the clutch cable as described in Chapter 3, then check the clutch pedal adjustment as described in Chapter 2.
