1. Check up a condition of a surface of a pressure disk and a flywheel. If necessary, replace pressure plate and flywheel.
2. If the pressure plate has blue areas, the clutch has been overheating for a while and needs to be replaced.
3. Check the condition of the clutch cover and for distortion of the diaphragm spring.
4. Replace the friction disc if the shims are worn or near the rivets. If the gaskets are oily, the cause of the oil leak must be found and repaired. This is most likely due to the gearbox input shaft oil seal or crankshaft rear oil seal. Check the condition of the friction disc hub and center grooves.
5. Quickly rotate the release bearing in the clutch housing, check that there is no roughness. If there is excessive movement or roughness, replace the release bearing as described in Chapter 7.
