Clutch — installation (Opel Omega A)

1. Wipe the surfaces of the pressure plate and flywheel with a clean cloth. When installing, be careful not to allow oil or grease to come into contact with the friction surfaces or gaskets.

2. Place the friction disc on the flywheel with the protruding hub lining facing outward. The surface with the word "GETRIEBESEITE" on the hub should also be facing outward.

3. Install the cover, insert the bolts freely (photo). Align the previously made marks if you are installing an old cover.



4. The friction disc should now be centered so that when the gearbox is installed, the input shaft will enter through the grooves of the friction disc into the bearing sleeve at the end of the crankshaft. It is better to use a special clutch centering tool (photo), or the old input shaft of the gearbox.



5. Make sure the tool is positioned correctly in the friction disc and hub bearing, then tighten the clutch housing bolts diagonally to the tightening torque specified in the Specification (photo). Remove the tool.





6. Install the gearbox as described in Section 6.
