- separation point between engine block and gearbox gasket between gearbox housing and gearbox cover
- bearing shield gasket

Noises in the gearbox: Over time, noises developing in the gearbox may attract attention.
- In this case, you must first check the oil level in the gearbox.
- If a howling sound appears in one gear and its tone changes when gas is applied and released, then the teeth of the mated pair of gears of this gear are worn out.
- With noise in all gears, its cause is a malfunction of the main gear or in the bearings of the gearbox shafts.
- Rustling, grinding sounds, which are heard only when the gearbox is warm, indicate beating synchro rings. When the oil is diluted, it is squeezed out by the synchronizing ring in the same place.
Dismantling a manual transmission on your own
The gearbox can only be removed downwards after extensive work has been done by propping up the engine, dismantling the front axle body assembly and using numerous special tools. Without professional reinforcement and appropriate special tools, there is a serious risk of injury to the amateur and damage to the vehicle and components. Therefore, we abandoned the description of dismantling.
Tip: Workshops rarely dare to repair or overhaul the gearbox, they recommend taking the unit for exchange. In most cases, it is more profitable to install a used gearbox from a car recycling company.
