1. Before you begin rebuilding the differential, compare the price of the new components required with the cost of a new or rebuilt unit, as replacing the unit may be cheaper than rebuilding.
2. Please note that if the differential driven gear or the transmission output shaft pinion gear are to be replaced, they must be replaced as a matched pair.
3. To set the differential bearing preload, special tools are required, so it is recommended to have the differential overhauled by an Opel dealer.
