This Section is designed to help the owner keep the vehicle in good condition so that it can be used safely, economically and for a long time.
The chapters of the Section describe maintenance procedures in sequence, including visual inspection, adjustment and replacement of components. See illustrations showing the engine compartment and underside view of the vehicle to locate the various components.
Maintaining your vehicle as recommended in the following chapters will ensure reliable operation and a long service life.
When servicing a car, you will find that many operations can and should be grouped together. For example, if the vehicle is jacked up for any reason, the output system, as well as the steering and suspension components, can be inspected.
The first step in this maintenance program is to prepare for the desired procedure before it begins. Read all Chapters relevant to the job you are about to do, then make a list and prepare all the required spare parts and tools from it.
