Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the high voltage wires from the module terminals (remember their location so as not to mix them up during installation). Note that the cylinder numbers are stamped on the module near the terminals, and similar numbers are on each high tension wire.
3. On X16 SZ engines, unscrew three screws, remove the module from the camshaft housing. On C20 XE engines, unscrew the bolts securing the DIS module bracket to the cylinder head, remove the module together with the bracket. Note the installation position of the DIS module on the mounting bracket, unscrew the four mounting screws, separate the module from the bracket.
