Camshaft phase sensor (engine C20 XE) — removal and installation (Opel Vectra A)

Note: Before you begin, see. Chapter 3.

Removal

1. The camshaft position sensor is installed at the end of the cylinder head in the position normally occupied by the distributor.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Disconnect the electrical wiring, then unscrew the sensor mounting bolts

4. Remove the sensor from the cylinder head, then unscrew the bolt and remove the sensor disc from the end of the camshaft.

Installation

5. Perform installation in reverse order.
