Engine starting system
The G9U 730 engine is equipped with a Valeo D7R34 starter.
Removal and installation the starter
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery, starting with the negative cable.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector from the air flow meter.
3. Remove the air filter, cover and engine guard.
7. Disconnect the starter power wires.
8. Unscrew the three starter mounting bolts and remove it.

Installation
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the boost pressure sensor.
5. Remove the air duct between the air distributor and the charge air cooling radiator.
6. Disconnect the ground wire from the starter and remove the wiring harness bracket.
