
2. Unscrew the electrical wire (1) from the fuel shut-off valve on the high-pressure fuel pump to prevent fuel from being injected through the injectors into the combustion chambers.
3. Unscrew the injection pipes of cylinders 3 and 4 (2 middle cylinders).
Warning! Collect any leaking fuel with a rag.
4. Remove all glow plugs.
5. Screw in the compression gauge using a flexible connecting hose instead of spark plugs. OPEL workshops use the KM-488 attachment for this purpose.
6. Check the compression at starter speed for 4 seconds. Required value: 20 bar, pressure difference: max. 1.5 bar.
7. Insert the injection pipes, tighten to 20 Nm.
8. Screw in the glow plugs, tighten to 25 Nm and connect the electrical wires.
9. Install the intake manifold.
10. Connect the wire to the fuel shut-off valve.
