Removal and installation
Cars with air conditioning
1. Empty the air conditioner refrigerant circuit. This job requires specialized knowledge and a special tool.
Warning! When opening the air conditioner circuit, there is a risk of injury due to escaping refrigerant. Therefore, this work should only be carried out in a specialized workshop.
2. Remove the wiper motor.
3. Remove the crankshaft vibration damper.
4. Remove the air hoses from the charge air cooler, turbocharger and air cleaner.
5. Remove the intake manifold.
6. Unscrew the oil cooler pipes on the oil filter housing. Collect the leaking oil and take it to a special point, close the holes of the oil cooler pipes with suitable plugs.
7. When installing pipes, use new gaskets.
8. Unscrew the pipes on the servo control pump.
Warning! Before opening the pipes, empty the expansion tank with a suitable suction device. Collect the leaking oil and take it to a specialized point. After installation, fill the system and remove air from it.
9. Unscrew the supply and return lines on the fuel filter. Disconnect the filter heating plug and the temperature sensor on the filter.
10. Remove the coolant hoses on the expansion tank.
11. Remove the heater hoses at the connections in the engine compartment bulkhead.
12. Mark the installation position to avoid mixing up the hoses.
