Caution: Use only DOT 4 brake fluid.
The hydraulic clutch drive is bled only "from below", i.e. through the bleeding valve. For this purpose, a device for removing air from the brake hydraulic drive is used.
Attention! Manual pumping is not allowed.
Caution! Follow the manufacturer's instructions when using the brake bleeder. The brake bleeder must provide a pressure of approximately 2 bar.
Installing the device
Attach the hydraulic bleeder. To do this, attach the brake bleeder adapter to the brake fluid reservoir.
Install the special tool MKM-6174-2 onto the adapter.
Place the end of the hose into a suitable container.
Disconnect the valve cap from the bleeder valve and attach the special tool MKM-6174-1 to the bleeder valve.
Bleed the clutch drive.
Turn on the hydraulic bleeder.
Open the bleed valve (2-3 turns).
Bleed until the brake fluid comes out without bubbles.
Close (by hand) the bleed valve.
Removal the device
Disconnect the hydraulic bleeder. Disconnect the hydraulic bleeder adapter.
Caution! Be sure to perform the following operations to fill the pressure line of the gearbox housing of the clutch slave cylinder. When bleeding, make sure that the brake system hydraulic fluid reservoir is full.
Bleed air from the clutch slave cylinder pressure line.
Install special tool MKM-6174-2 on MKM-6174-1 on the bleed valve, lower the free end into a suitable container
Press and hold the clutch pedal.
Open the bleed valve.
Open the bleed valve until air and/or air/brake fluid mixture appears.
Close (by hand) the bleed valve.
Slowly release the clutch pedal and wait approximately 5 seconds.
Repeat the procedure four times.
Tighten the bleed valve to 5 Nm.
Remove special tools MKM-6174-1 and MKM-6174-2.
Remove the cap from the bleed valve.
Fill the clutch reservoir with brake fluid up to the "MAX" mark.
Close the brake fluid reservoir.
Check the clutch pedal actuation pressure.
Check the ease of engagement of all gears with the engine running and the clutch depressed.
Note: Test drive the vehicle to ensure proper operation of the clutch and brake system. Ride at various speeds and change gear frequently to reach operating temperatures.
