Removal and installation the high-level brake light bulb (Opel Corsa C)

Note: The high-level brake light is made using LEDs. Individual LEDs cannot be replaced; the entire assembly must be replaced if necessary.


Corsa C models



1. Set the rotary switch for the outdoor lighting modes to the "O" position (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques", Section 17) and turn off the ignition. Disconnect the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Open the tailgate and pry it out with a plastic wedge (for example, Hazet 1965-20) high level brake light retainer.

3. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the brake light from the tailgate.

4. Press the latches and remove the LED holder (see accompanying illustration) from the brake light assembly.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Check the proper functioning of the signal.

6. Press the high level brake light cover out of the clips (see accompanying illustration) and remove it together with the brake light.

7. Disconnect the high level brake light wiring connector.

8. Press the 2 latches and separate the cover from the brake light assembly (see illustration 19.6).

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check the correct functioning of the brake light.
