2. Remove the expansion rivets and remove the rear cover from the threshold channel (see accompanying illustration).

3. Remove the lower outer door sill trim starting from the front side, if necessary remove the trim holders with the mounting nuts (see illustration 12.2).
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
