Note: This section describes the removal/installation/adjustment procedure using the front side door as an example. The corresponding operations for the rear doors are carried out in a similar manner.
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5).
2. Open the door and disconnect the wiring connector (see resist. illustration), by turning it counterclockwise.
17.2. Side door fixing: 1. Wiring connector; 2. Screw for fastening the limiter; 3. Rubber cap; 4. Axis of hinge fastening
3. Turn out the fixing screw and disconnect the door travel limiter from the body rack (see illustration 17.2).
4. Remove the rubber caps from the top and bottom of the door hinges (see illustration 17.2). Ask an assistant to hold the door and, using the Hazet-1970 special tool or a metal mandrel, knock out the hinge pins. Remove the door.
Note: Strikes should be made on the side of the axle that was covered with a rubber cap.
5. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Before installation, lubricate the door mounting axles with special grease. After installing the door, make the appropriate adjustments (see below).
Adjustment
6. Remove the lock bracket (see resist. illustration).
17.6. screws (1) side door lock brackets
7. Close the door and check the gap between adjacent body elements (see specs). The tailgate is adjusted correctly if there is an even gap around the entire perimeter in the closed position, and the tailgate is flush with the surrounding body surfaces. The front edge of the rear door may be no more than 1 mm deeper than the rear edge of the front door.
8. Adjust the door if necessary. To do this, loosen the screws securing the door hinges to the body. Alignment of the door in the body opening is performed by shifting / bending the door hinges. This operation requires some experience, so it is recommended to entrust its execution to a specialist. For bending loops, a special tool is used, for example, Hazet-1931 and Hazet-1973-X.
9. Reinstall the side door lock bracket and tighten its fixing bolts by hand. Carefully, observing the set gaps, close the side door, while the lock bracket will take the desired position. Carefully open the door and tighten the bracket fixing screws to the required torque.
10. Close and open the door several times, check its position and ease of closing / opening, repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Rear sliding door (Corsa Combo models)
11. To remove the rear sliding door, unbolt the supporting elements from the lower and central guides and remove the door with the help of an assistant.
