Right side (short rope)



1. Disconnect the parking brake compensator from the brake actuator torquing rod. At the same time, hold the threaded rod with pliers to prevent it from turning. Remove the rubber buffer outward.

2. Remove the parking brake cable from the guide on the rear suspension beam.

3. Remove the right brake shoe (see section Removal and installation brake shoes).

4. Remove the plastic sleeve from the brake shield and pull out the cable.



5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Left side (long rope)



1. Measure and record the length of the parking brake cable compensator thread. Remove the rubber buffer and unscrew the compensator. Hold the compensator with a wrench to prevent it from turning.

2. Remove the heat shield from the muffler.

3. Release the parking brake cable from the extension (arrow) and disconnect it.

4. Remove the cable from the holder and guides on the rear suspension.

5. Remove the left brake shoe (see section Removal and installation brake shoes).

6. Remove the plastic sleeve from the brake shield and pull out the cable.



7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the length of the compensator thread corresponds to the value recorded during removal.

Combo model



1. Remove the brake drum (see section Removal and installation brake shoes).

2. Loosen the exhaust system fasteners in the area of the parking brake cable.

3. Remove the heat shield from the bottom.

4. Loosen the nut (arrow) of the parking brake compensator.

5. Remove the cables from the guides.

6. Remove the plastic bushings from the holder. Bend the cable guides (arrow) slightly on the bottom and rear suspension springs and remove the cable.

7. Press the parking brake lever forward on the brake shoe and remove the cable.

8. Remove the plastic sleeve from the brake shield and pull out the cable.

9. Install the parking brake cable in the reverse order and adjust it.
