Removal and installation the heater fan (Opel Corsa B)

Removal



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the windshield fairing.

3. Remove the heater air filter.

4. Unscrew the 4 screws (1) securing the heater air filter housing and remove the housing.

5. Set the ventilation flap (1) on the control lever to fresh air mode.

6. Bend back the locking tabs (2, 3) and remove the right upper part of the fan casing (refer to illustration). Remove the left upper part of the fan shroud in the same manner.

7. Insert a screwdriver into the fan motor retaining spring and release it.

8. Disconnect both connectors of the additional resistor and remove the electric motor.

Installation



1. Check the ease of rotation of the fan impeller when installed.

If the fan does not work at all speed modes, then, as a rule, the additional resistor is damaged. In this case, replace the additional resistors in the kit.


2. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
