You will need: 10 mm spanner, flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the floor tunnel lining (see Removal and installation the floor tunnel lining).

3. Press the locking tab of the parking brake indicator switch wiring harness connector with a screwdriver…

4. …and disconnect the block from the switch

5. Unscrew the four nuts securing the parking brake lever to the body base…

6. ...lift the lever, remove its bracket from the mounting studs, move the lever back a little to loosen the tension on the rear drive cables, remove the cable ends from the equalizer grooves..

7. …and remove the parking brake lever.

8. If the parking brake lever has been removed for replacement and the new lever does not have a parking brake warning light switch, remove the screw securing the switch to the base of the lever…

9. …remove the switch and install it on the new lever.
10. Before installing on the vehicle, lubricate the toothed sector of the lever with consistent grease.

11. Install the parking brake lever and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
