General information
1. On most models described in this manual, the infotainment system has an anti-theft code that prevents the system from being used on another vehicle. In the event of a power failure such as a battery disconnection, system fuse failure, etc., the user must enter the correct security code to enable the equipment.
2. The security code must be listed in the owner's manual for the infotainment system and must be stored outside the vehicle. Before disconnecting the battery, make sure you have this code. In case of loss, contact the specialists of the Opel branded service station for help.
Note: On models produced since 2005, the security code is recognized by the electronic system without the intervention of the owner and its input when connecting the battery is not required.
Removal and installation
Note: Depending on the equipment, the infotainment system can be equipped with a special holder that allows you to quickly remove and install the system. This requires special handles (Orel-KM6067).
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5).
4. Remove 4 grub screws (see illustration 29.4a) and insert special handles into the holes of the infotainment system (see illustration 29.4b) until they are fixed. Pull the system handles towards you and remove it from the installation case.
